I rarely get over to Ft. Worth....and when I do it's usually to visit
Billy Bob's for a concert...if you have never been you should go...especially if
Pat Green or
Jason Boland are playing...but I digress...
Ft. Worth is not so close...but not so far either (on the map at least)...but there is inevitably traffic or construction when heading west to Cow Town (yeah that's what they call locally...in reference to it still having a working stockyards)....so the trip is longer than I care to make very often...
and since I have everything I need close at hand in my little corner of
DFW....including two very good quilt shops within a 10 minute drive....
Quilt Country here in
Lewisville and
The Old Craft Store in
Carrollton...
but I'd been told more than once that I needed to make a trip to the
Cabbage Rose in Ft. Worth...everyone raves about it...it's the best...they have everything...the staff is great...I could go on and on about the great things I had heard about it...and then several ladies mentioned it in a discussion on the
Dallas Modern Quilt Guild site....I decided to definitely check it out sometime soon...
so this weekend I made the trip over to Ft. Worth to visit the Cabbage Rose....and EVERYTHING I'd heard was true....this is the place for all the must have fabric...and the staff are amazing...
so i heart cow town!!
I see many more trips to Ft. Worth in my near future....
here's the big pile of purchases that I got on this trip....
I was the most excited about some of the Full Moon Forest, Nest, Hushabye, Neptune, and Flutterby by the amazing Tula Pink.
I just love these...especially the Squirrel yardage...
