Catchin' Up

We had a great visit this weekend in Oklahoma....had a lot of fun....we packed a lot into the few days I was home....
got Christmas shopping finished up...got the Christmas Tree up....wrapped all the presents that we purchased....went to the Casino and Bingo for a little fun....got to play with the little kids...did a little yard work...did some furniture rearranging...got to enjoy watching Ry play with Duke the Amazing Flying Bulldog and play outside with the little kids....did some office decorating...and got to see the Travelin'Man, who's home for Christmas...and I've probably left something out cause it was go, go, go...
so when we got home last night...
we were exhausted....
unloaded the truck, checked google reader to catch up a lil, and then went to bed....
(Ry skipped the first two things and just went straight to bed)
not that i can blame him....we had to be up early this morning....
work was pretty easy today...and i got home at a pretty decent hour....
and went right to work on this...

the Scruffily Rouenneries is finally a completed quilt top....

sorry the pictures aren't that great...it was getting dark and was way too windy to get any really good pictures...

so now to decide about the quilting....
what would you do???

  1. I hope you have a Merry Christmas!! I'm in Eastern Oklahoma and it's the first white Christmas in twenty years! I love it!

I LOVE the quilt top. Question, when you quilt them, do you use a quilting machine or your normal sewing machine?

  2. Merry Christmas to you too!! One of my cousins got stuck here is Dallas yesterday because of the Blizzard that shut down Will Rogers in OKC!! Bet the kiddos are thrilled too!! Be safe and enjoy all the snow!!

Thanks....I use my normal machine...which can be a logistical nightmare...but it's all I've got at the moment...I would absolutely love to have a quilting machine and frame...but money and space wise it's on hold for now!!

  3. All I have is a regular machine and I didn't know if it was even possible to use it for quilting! I have tons of tops and none of them are quilted. I would have to sell a kid to get a quilting machine and I'm pretty fond of the kiddos since they pasted the terrible twos. :)
